UAE weather: Fog clears to leave a fine day for the Emirates
Brisk winds will build overnight increasing chances of dust in the air on Wednesday
Early fog and mist will clear to leave a largely fine morning behind for much of the UAE on Tuesday.
Although visibility was reduced to about 500 metres in some coastal areas due to foggy conditions in the early hours, mist had lifted by the time many commuters had taken to the roads to get back to work after the New Year break.
Temperatures are likely to peak at about 22C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with clear skies for much of the day, although cloud is likely to build through the afternoon in northern areas, according to the National Centre for Meteorology.
Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, but becoming rough overnight.
Brisk winds are going to build into Wednesday, increasing the chances of blowing dust in some areas.
