Fog and mist caused poor visibility in some parts of the country in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to the National Centre for Meteorology.

From around 4.15am, visibility was reduced to less than 500 metres over some internal and coastal areas in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain, but it was expected to lift by 8.30am.

Areas included Sweihan in Abu Dhabi, Al Minhad and Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, Al Ain international airport and Khalifa College in Al Ain as well as Madinat Zayed in Al Dhafra area.

For the rest of the day, weather is expected to be partly cloudy in general and hazy at times with light to moderate winds.

Temperatures are expected to range between 43°C and 18°C inland, 39°C and 21°C along the coast, and 33°C to 18°C in the mountains.

Humidity is likely to increase at night and in the early hours of the morning leading to potential fog and mist over some coastal and internal areas, reaching 90 per cent internally.

The sea will be slight to moderate in both Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
