UAE weather: Fog and mist make a return while rain could fall in eastern areas

More cloudy and foggy weather is expected in some areas of the country, including coastal and western areas of the Emirates.

Clouds will develop over eastern areas becoming convective in the afternoon and may be associated with rainfall, said the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.

Light to moderate winds in general may cause blowing dust over exposed areas in the country.

NCMS forecasters said that humidity levels will rise overnight and during the early morning hours.

Humidity is also expected to reach 95 per cent across internal regions.

The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Coastal areas could have winds up to 34kph, while inland areas could have winds up to 35 kph.

Maximum temperatures will be about 45°C in inland areas. Temperatures will range from 37°C to 42°C along the coast and 40°C to 45°C in the interior regions, according to NCMS.

Fog and mist was reported over Liwa and rain was reported in Kalba.

The highest temperature recorded in the country on Saturday afternoon was 44.9°C in Sweihan at 2.45pm.
