Fog and mist caused poor visibility in some parts of the country in the early hours of Monday morning, according to the National Centre for Meteorology.

From about 2am, visibility was reduced over some western areas to less than 1,000 metres but it was expected to lift by 10am.

Areas included Madinat Zayed and Al Hamra in Al Dhafrah area, and on Abu Dhabi – Al Ghuwaifat road.

Weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy in general with a slight rise in temperatures, which are expected to reach highs of 27C internally and 26C on the coast.

Humidity is likely to increase at night and in the early hours of the morning especially westwards leading to potential fog and mist over some coastal and internal areas, reaching 85 per cent internally.

The sea will be slight to moderate in both Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea with South-westerly to North-easterly winds, reaching 35kph at times.
