Residents across the country woke up to fair and partly cloudy skies on Thursday, with temperatures reaching 33°C in some parts.

Moderate winds may kick up some dust and could reach speeds as high as 40kph along coastal areas, the National Centre of Meteorology said.

In the mountainous areas, winds could reach up to 38kph and maximum temperatures can be expected to reach 26°C.

Temperatures are set to range from 15°C to 33°C in the interior regions and 16°C to 30°C along the coast, according to the centre.

It added that humidity will increase overnight and early morning on coastal and internal areas, leading to mist and fog formation.

Fog and mist has been predicted for parts of the UAE over the weekend.

The sea will be rough to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in the Oman Sea.
