UAE weather: drop in temperatures during the weekend

Temperatures are expected to drop over the weekend, while strong winds are expected to kick up dust causing poor visibility and rough seas.

Hot and hazy conditions will persist across the country on Thursday with rainfall likely over the eastern mountains, according to the National Centre for Meteorology.

Light to moderate rain fell on Wednesday afternoon over some parts of Al Ain and was reported over Khatam Al Shaklah, Malaqet and Masaken.

Winds are expected to be light to moderate in general, freshening at times reaching 34kph causing dust over some exposed areas.

Humidity will increase at night and during the morning over the coast and interior regions, along with fog and mist.

The sea will continue to be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Temperatures will range from 26°C to 48°C in the interior regions, 28°C to 45°C along the coast and 23°C to 37°C in the mountains.
