UAE weather: Cooler temperatures finally arrive

Residents across the country woke up to partly cloudy skies, with fair weather conditions expected to persist throughout the week.

Much of the UAE will enjoy cooler temperatures, which are expected to range from 23°C to 39°C in the interior regions and 24°C to 38°C along the coast, according to NCMS.

More foggy weather is expected in some areas of the country. The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology reported foggy patches over Ras Al Khaimah Airport.

NCMS forecasters alerted residents that fog will increase causing poor visibility less than 1,000 meters at times.

Clouds may develop and become convective around noon over eastern areas. Winds will remain light to moderate over land and moderate to fresh over the sea.

Winds will be as high as 40kph along coastal areas and 35kph in internal parts of the country.

NCMS forecasters said that humidity levels will rise overnight and during the early morning hours over some coastal and internal areas.

Humidity is also expected to reach 95 per cent across coastal regions.

The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.

The lowest temperature recorded was 19.2°C in Damtha at 6.15am, and the highest temperature recorded in the country yesterday was 40.6°C in Al-Foah at 2pm.
