Commuters faced heavy congestion in and out of Dubai on Thursday morning, with tailbacks on major thoroughfares.
Motorists experienced delays of up to 20 minutes on Ittihad Road towards Dubai.
An accident was also reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Silicon Oasis.
Motorists travelling on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road towards Mirdif City Centre were caught in long queues.
Delays were also reported on Airport Road, Al Warqa, Mirdif and Al Nahda.
There was also a report of congestion in the flow from Sharjah's Industrial area 7 towards Dubai International Airport.
In Abu Dhabi, traffic jams were reported on Al Shahama Road as well as Khaleej Al Arabi Street coming from Al Ain in towards the capital.
