UAE traffic: accidents cause delays for Dubai commuters
It's Dubai that gets the worst of the traffic congestion this morning
Heavy traffic and several accidents caused delays to commuters in Dubai on Monday morning.
An accident on Sheikh Zayed Road led to major traffic congestion for commuters heading towards Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Another accident was reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed E311 causing heavy traffic delays, according to Google Maps.
Slow moving traffic was reported around Sharjah with heavy congestion on Al Ittihad Street and Al Tawun area leading towards Dubai. Delays were also expected in Al Qusais Industrial Area, with a 30 minute delay on Al Qudus Street and Damascus Street.
Further tailbacks were reported on D61 Hessa Street from Jumeirah Village Circle, Al Khail Road to Business Bay, Umm Suqeim Road towards Al Barsha and roads were packed in Deira.
In the capital, drivers travelling on Sheikh Zayed Bridge towards Sheikh Zayed Tunnel experienced severe congestion. Traffic was also reported on Mussafah and Al Khaleej Al Arabi Road.
