Seven students from the Canadian University of Dubai will live on hand outs and sleep under the stars to raise money for a charity that helps homeless people.
The students said their own homelessness was to help charity and raise awareness among fellow students.
They are part of a global campaign - Five days for the Homeless - in which 24 universities in Canada will take part this month.
The campaign ends on Friday.
