UAE serviceman dies during Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen
ABU DHABI // A military serviceman has died in the line of duty with the Arab coalition’s Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen.
The General Command of the Armed Forces announced the death of Rashid Ahmed Abdullah Al Habsi on Monday morning. It offered its condolences to the family of the Emirati, praying to Allah to rest his soul in peace and bestow solace on his family, state news agency Wam reported.
Further details of how and where the serviceman died, and where he was from in the Emirates, have not been disclosed.
Operation Restoring Hope was launched in 2015 to restore the internationally recognised Yemeni government led by president Abdrabu Mansur Hadi.
