SHARJAH // Police in Sharjah took to Twitter to help reunite a two-year-old Afghan girl with her family.
An Emirati resident found the little girl, identified as Zaineb, walking alone in the Al Khan neighbourhood. He stopped to talk to the child and contacted police, a spokesman said.
Officers looked after the girl for three hours and tweeted her picture to social network users to help find her parents.
The parents filed a missing persons report at Buhairah police after they were unable to find their daughter in their apartment building.
The father told police the girl had gone out to play with her eight and 10-year-old siblings when she got lost and wandered off.
