Ninety injured Yemenis arrived in India on Friday for medical treatment funded by the UAE.

The men – who were injured during attacks by Houthi militias - were greeted by UAE diplomats in New Delhi who helped finalise their arrival procedures before the men were transported to hospitals for treatment.

The transportation and treatment is funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation and follows the directives of President Sheikh Khalifa, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and was organised under the supervision of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation.

The Foundation has previously paid for the medical treatment of a separate batch of 90 Yemenis in Indian hospitals, who also sustained their injuries during attacks by the Houthi militias, reported state news agency, Wam.
