GUANGZHOU // The UAE Olympic team, who were fancied to get their Asian Games campaign off to a winning start, were held to a 1-1 draw by Hong Kong in their opening group E match in China yesterday.
Abdulla Mousa, the Al Jazira left-winger, put them ahead in the 36th minute but Hong Kong equalised 10 minutes from time.
Uzbekistan went on top of the group with a 3-0 demolition of Bangladesh, the UAE's opponents tomorrow.
