The chairman of a new childcare development company said the country must focus on early childhood education to improve performance later in life.
Badr Al Olama, the chairman of Bidayaat, which launched in Abu Dhabi this month, said that less than 10 per cent of children in preschool and kindergarten are Emirati. With the number of Emirati working women expected to rise, there will be more demand for preschools, he said.
"Research clearly shows that the right early learning experiences improve success later in life," Mr Al Olama said today.
