UAE ministry reiterates call for Emiratis to avoid travel to Lebanon

Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, urged UAE citizens in Lebanon to leave immediately.

ABU DHABI // The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reiterated its call on the UAE citizens to avoid travel to Lebanon.

Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, urged UAE citizens in Lebanon to leave immediately, adding that they should coordinate with the UAE Embassy in Beirut on the following numbers: 0096118570000 and operations department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at 024449600.

He said that the warning comes from the ministry's keenness on the safety Emiratis abroad.

Emiratis, with regular passports, wishing to travel must undertake in writing at the airport to take full responsibility by travelling to Lebanon.

Holders of diplomatic and special passports must obtain prior approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to travel in minimal and necessary situations, This should be coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through communication before travelling on the number: 02-4449600.
