The Zayed Giving Convoy on Friday launched its humanitarian campaign in Egyptian villages.
The campaign aims to treat 1,000 patients through the UAE-Egyptian mobile volunteer hospital in the country's eastern province.
The humanitarian campaign will enable doctors to diagnose patients and carry out operations as part of their efforts to help vulnerable and underprivileged patients.
The mobile hospital was established as a joint humanitarian initiative between the Zayed Giving Initiative, the Saudi-German Hospital, Dar Al Ber Society, the Emirates Volunteer Association, Egypt's Health Ministry and the Egyptian Volunteer Society, to provide free diagnosis and treatment to patients.
It comes in line with the UAE's Year of Giving 2017, which aims to help one million children and elderly people in various Egyptian governorates and villages.
Medical missions were also lanched in Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Eritrea, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bosnia, Syria, Yemen, Somalia and other countries.
