UAE leaders attend first cabinet meeting for UAE Centennial 2071
Some 120 national initiatives are expected to be launched across 30 local and federal sectors during the meetings
More than 450 senior officials will meet in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday and Wednesday to take part in the UAE’s government annual meeting, which will focus on the UAE Centennial 2071.
The two-day meetings will be chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Some 120 national initiatives are expected to be launched across 30 local and federal sectors during the meetings, which are expected to be the largest of their kind in the UAE.
“It is our intention to place today a strong foundation and ideas for the future,” said Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.
“The annual government meeting is a new step towards realizing the aspirations of our people for the future,” Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed said.
The state news agency, Wam has recently reported that the first meeting will develop a plan for the next five decades to achieve the goals, which include creating a flexible government, investing in education and advanced technology, establishing a diversified economy and instilling values of tolerance in society.
