DUBAI // Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) has praised the leaders of the UAE for their commitment to the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons Treaty (NPT).
A delegation from the UAE is currently in Geneva, Switzerland attending a 2015 Review Conference preparatory meeting until May 3.
A statement on state news agency WAM quoted an ECSSR news bulletin as saying the UAE's decision to continue its involvement reflected wise leadership.
The UAE joined the NPT in 1995 and has continued its commitment on directives of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
