Two killed in RAK when vehicle hits donkey
RAS AL KHAIMAH // Two men died on Monday after swerving to avoid a donkey on Showka Road in the southern part of the emirate, officials said. When the driver tried to dodge the animal, the car clipped it, then flipped several times before landing on its side. One of the car's occupants died immediately; the other died on the way to the hospital.
RAK Police said the donkey did not appear to have been harmed and it had run away. Col Hassan al Jeeda asked the public to better supervise their animals and urged drivers to obey speed limits. Last year, six accidents were caused by animals in RAK, the only emirate to have reported any such incidents, according to the traffic and licensing department. firstname.lastname@example.org
