Two children among four Emiratis killed in Oman car crash

A lorry collided with the UAE nationals' car

Four Emiratis including two children were killed when a lorry collided with the car in which they were travelling on a motorway in Oman's Al Wusta region.

Two Emiratis from the same family were badly injured and the driver of the trailer lorry was also hurt.

The two boys killed were brothers, aged 3 and 10, according to the Royal Oman Police.

A one-year-old girl and a woman are in the intensive care unit of a hospital.

The accident occurred on Friday night. Police are yet to give the cause of the crash.

In 2016, Oman had the highest number of road accidents in the Gulf, with 8.9 for every 100,000 people.
