After a request from a defendant’s attorney, Fujairah criminal court adjourned a hearing in the case of an Emirati woman who was allegedly killed by her husband and son at a farm in Fujairah last summer
Three people are suspected in the murder: the victim’s husband and son, and a relative.
According to police and prosecution records, the husband agreed with his son and the third suspect to lure his wife to his farm in Fujairah to beat her to death on the pretence that she was having an affair with the farm’s guard.
The guard was in his room when he heard the commotion and tried to intervene, but the suspects attacked him too. He was able to flee and call the police.
During interrogation, the victim’s husband confessed that he killed his wife because she was practicing black magic against the third suspect, who was paid Dh5 million to dispose of her body.
Court will resume on May 6.
