A house in the old town of Ras Al Khaimah was damaged by the 7.5 magnitude earthquake that hit Iran on Tuesday.
The owner reported that part of his house collapsed and suffered multiple wall cracks, including around the entrance, a source from the RAK Civil Defence department told Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister paper of The National.
The epicentre of the quake was about 660 kilometres from Ras Al Khaimah.
A civil defence team was onsite to assess the damage and confirmed that the gravity of the cracks could lead the walls to collapse.
