The schools may be off and high summer upon us but commuters still faced delays on Monday.

The E11 and E311 from Sharjah into Dubai were the worst hit.

On the E11, motorists faced delays from Safeer Mall down to Al Mulla Plaza, while the 311 seemed to be the worst affected with tailbacks starting from the industrial area down to almost Dubai airport.

In Abu Dhabi, traffic was starting to build on Salam Street heading out of the city.

Parts of the Mussaffah industrial area and Mohammed bin Zayed City in the suburbs were also seeing some traffic.
