A six-car road crash caused heavy traffic heading out of Abu Dhabi on the E10 Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street on Monday.
Motorists reported the major accident about a kilometre after Al Raha Mall on the road to Dubai.
About six cars described by one driver as “completely smashed” could be seen on the side of the road.
An ambulance and three police cars were at the scene. No casualties or injuries were reported.
Traffic started building up on the north-bound side of the road from 7.30am. Tailbacks reached back to Sheikh Zayed Bridge.
The crash came 10 days after six people were killed and 19 injured in a crash on the same stretch of road.
Police said that Falcon Eye road cameras showed the accident was caused by the "reckless behaviour" of a motorist in a white sedan, who slowed in front of a lorry to take an exit.
Elsewhere, an accident on Dubai's Mohamed bin Zayed Road caused major tailbacks and motorists have been told to use alternative routes.
The accident took place after the Amman Street Bridge towards Jebel Ali, Dubai Police reported about 8am.
