The Ministry of Interior and National Center of Meteorology have called on motorists to drive carefully this morning and take all necessary precautions as fog obstructs visibility this morning.

Fog is expected to reduce visibility to less than 1,000 metres in some areas until 9am today.

In coastal and northern areas areas, visibility could be as low as 500 metres, the centre said on Twitter.

Traffic is moving slowly on Salam Street in Abu Dhabi this morning, with heavy congestion from the Eastern Mangroves to Dalma Street. There are slight delays downtown on Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street (Airport Road) and on 51st in Mohammed Bin Zayed City.
The country’s worst traffic this morning is on the Sharjah-Ajman and Sharjah-Dubai borders as commuters head to work. Expect delays on the Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) between from the Sharjah border and past Dubai airport.
A crash in Al Rashidiya on the D89 between the D62 and the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) caused congestion.
There were southbound delays on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) near Dubai Investment Park and on the Ras Al Khor Road (E44) near Business Bay.
