Congestion plagued roads on Tuesday, with several accidents blocking major thoroughfares in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Foggy conditions in Abu Dhabi saw a backlog at several busy intersections across the capital. Heavy traffic was reported on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street near Abu Dhabi Police Officer’s Club, as well as on Maqta Street and Khaleej Al Arabi Road.

In Dubai, a major crash was reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road E31, causing congestion and delay for commuters in Mirdif.

An accident was reported on Al Ittihad Road towards Dubai, which caused delays for commuters’ due to tailbacks. Motorists travelling on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from Mirdif towards Al Khawaneej were also caught in long queues.

Congestion has been reported in Airport Road, Al Warqa, and Al Nahda.

Vehicles were also at standstill Al Qusais area, Al Mizhar and Muhaisnah.
