Drivers heading into Abu Dhabi are facing delays following two minor collisions on the E10 Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street heading onto the capital.
Tailbacks stretching as far back as the Sheikh Zayed Bridge were caused by accidents near the Abu Dhabi Police Officers Club and the exit of the bridge onto the Al Shahama Road.
Dubai motorists are contending with similar hold ups in Barsha following a minor collision near the Hessa Street turnoff onto the E11 Sheikh Zayed Road.
Congestion was causing the usual hold ups as morning traffic continues to build along familiar choke points near the Mall of the Emirates, and Safeer Mall heading towards Sharjah.
