Commuters faced heavy delays in and out of Dubai with tailbacks on a number of roads on Thursday morning.
Slow moving traffic was reported on Al Ittihad Road leading towards Dubai. Delays were also experienced in the Al Qusais area.
Motorists travelling on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road towards the Al Rashidiya area in Dubai were caught in long queues, and an accident was reported on the highwaySheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Dubailand, leading to tailbacks.
Congestion brought traffic to a crawl on the Dubai-Al Ain Road near International Academic City. Moderate traffic was also reported in Oud Metha, while elsewhere there were delays in Al Warqa and Al Awir.
Further congestion was reported in Abu Dhabi on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street and on the route from Al Ain to the capital.
