UAE traffic: crashes cause congestion on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road
Sharjah again the hotspot for traffic congestion
Sharjah was again plagued with heavy traffic on Monday morning with major roads and highways witnessing backlog.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road was busy from Sharjah’s Al Tarfa area all the way to the Dubai International Airport, with a crash on the Maliha Road intersection and another near Dubai Investment Park.
Tailbacks were also reported on Al Ittihad Road from the Safeer Mall to the Hor Al Anz East heading into Dubai, as well as from Al Ghubaiba to Sharjah’s Cultural Square.
In Abu Dhabi, Salam Street was congested in both directions, as well as Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street from Sas Al Nakheel Village to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road around Al Maqta Bridge.
