A few of the UAE's major roads were congested on Wednesday morning with a number of accidents reported.
Two cars collided on Al Wahda Street causing heavy backlog Sharjah-bound leading up to the Industrial Area 1. Heavier traffic was reported on the same street Dubai-bound from Sharjah's Industrial Area 7 to Dubai International Airport.
Cars were bumper-to-bumper from Sharjah's Al Turrfa Area on the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road all the way to Mirdif City Centre Dubai-bound and. Traffic was also reported on Hessa Street into Dubai from the Jumeirah Village Circle to the Jebel Ali Race Course.
In Abu Dhabi, congestion was reported on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street into the capital from the Mohammed bin Zayed City to Mussafah Bridge and on the Abu-Al Ain Road in the same direction from Sas Al Nakhel to Al Maqta Bridge.
Heavy traffic was also witnessed on Salam Street Abu Dhabi-bound from Khalifa Park to the Police College.
