It is a slow commute for motorists in Dubai and Sharjah this morning, with backlogs across the two Emirates.

In Sharjah, tailbacks have been reported on the E311, near the National Paints Roundabout, and on Al Wahda Street from Safeer Mall to Al Mulla Plaza. There is also some congestion on Third Industrial Street, and stretches of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.

In Dubai, it is slow going on Sheikh Zayed Road from Wafi Mall to Emirates Towers, and on Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street in Al Karama.

Tailbacks have also been reported on Sheikh Zayed Road outside Times Square Centre; on Hessa Street near Jumeirah Village Triangle; on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near City Centre Me'aisem to Dubai Investment Park 1, and on the Dubai - Al Ain Road from Zayed Univeristy to Nad Al Sheba.

In Abu Dhabi, it appears the only hold-ups are on 30th Street, and on the Abu Dhabi - Al Ain Road near Al Maqta Fort.
