Heavy traffic was building across Abu Dhabi and Dubai as commuters head home on Thursday.
In Abu Dhabi city centre, the Corniche, Hamdan, Electra and Salam Streets and Muroor Road were all busy.
A heavy traffic jam can be seen at the Corniche on the road opposite the Formal Park.
On Sultan bin Zayed The First Street, the Waze app map shows traffic barely moving at 4kph.
Nearby, on Al Falah Street, cars are moving at 6kph.
Cars are not moving any faster on Fatima Bint Mubarak Street, or Al Dhair Street opposite the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.
Moderate jams can also be seen on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan street, opposite Eastern Mangroves.
Out of the city a minor crash near the Watani project is causing slow traffic on E10 Um Al Nar – Al Shahama highway.
Heavier traffic can be seen along the E11 – Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid road. Cars were lining up opposite the New Mafraq Hospital to the intersection ahead of Shakhbout City.
In Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road is heavily congested near the Business Bay area and on the main section to Sharjah.
