DUBAI // Motorists can expect a repeat of yesterday's mild morning fog today, with more of the same tomorrow.

After a brief reprieve from the seasonal haze, some flights were once again diverted or delayed yesterday and the morning commute ground to a crawl.

Dubai Airport diverted three flights and the departure of 10 others were delayed due to fog.

Police took to Twitter to advise: "Low visibility due to fog formation on different parts of Abu Dhabi and motorways. Motorists are urged to take extra caution."

In Dubai, police were called out to 71 early-morning accidents. In Sharjah, officers responded to crashes involving 60 cars, that resulted in 15 injuries.

Motorists were urged to switch on fog lights or low-beam headlights, slow down and increase the distance between vehicles.

Other than more morning fog, today's weather will be cloudy at times, said the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.
