Petrol and diesel prices in the UAE will decrease significantly in December, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company announced on Thursday.

Here's the breakdown:

• Super 98: Dh2.25 a litre (down from Dh2.57 in November)

• Special 95: Dh2.15 (down from Dh2.46)

• Diesel: Dh2.61 (down from Dh2.87)

Since the middle of the year, the price at the petrol pumps has been fluctuating. Brent crude oil is down about a third from a four-year high of $86 in October due to rising supply. It was at $58.71 on Friday.

Fuel prices in the UAE were liberalised about two years ago, so they now move with the market.
