Three people were injured in two separate car accidents in Dubai.

Two are in critical condition while the third man has sustained moderate injuries.

In the first incident, a Nissan Infiniti crashed into the back of another car at 12.39pm on Monday.

Traffic patrols from Al Faqa police station were dispatched to the scene after Dubai Police received a report of the collision on Dubai-Al Ain road.

“An Indian man sustained severe injuries and an Egyptian was moderately hurt,” a police spokesman said.

Both drivers were rushed to hospital.

The second accident happened at 1am on Tuesday.

Police said a motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck on Al Asayel road in the direction of Al Khail Mall intersection.

The motorist was badly injured after he failed to see the road works sign boards and rammed into the truck.

“The motorcyclist, despite the many sign boards, drove past traffic cones that were placed to alert motorists of road works taking place there. He then crashed into the road workers’ vehicle,” said the spokesman.

He was taken to a hospital.
