The driver of a Range Rover who caused a fatal collision in Umm Al Quwain on Sunday was drunk at the time, police said.

The man in his 50s, with a Comoros Islands passport, crashed head-on with another car at around 1.30am on Sunday when driving the wrong way up the Mohamed bin Zayed motorway.

He and two other man in the second car were killed instantly.
