DUBAI // Public transport will operate on a revised timetable for Ramadan.

Paid parking times are also being revised to coincide with staff's shorter working hours during the holy month.

The Dubai Metro will run until midnight from Saturday through Wednesday, with the Red Line starting service at 5.30am and the Green Line beginning at 5.50am. On Thursdays, both lines run until 1am the next morning, while services on Fridays are shortened to run from 1pm until 1am.

Paid parking zones will collect fees from 8am until 1pm and again from 7pm until midnight, Saturday until Thursday. However, the Fish Market in Deira is an exception, where fees will recommence from 4pm until 11pm.

In Tecom, Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City and Knowledge Village, working hours for parking zones will be 8am until 6pm.

Local and intercity buses will continue on a lengthy schedule, with Al Ghubaiba station in Bur Dubai operating around the clock and most others open from 6am until 10pm or midnight.
