A pedestrian was seriously injured in a car crash in Dubai on Wednesday night.
The driver of the car, an Indian national, lost control of his vehicle and suddenly swerved to the left side of Damascus Street in Al Qusais area.
Dubai Police said the man’s car rammed into the pavement and was thrown to the opposite side of the road, injuring a pedestrian who was walking on the pavement.
“Due to the impact, the vehicle was again pushed to the other side of the road where it rammed into a parked car,” said a police official.
The accident was reported to Al Qusais police station.
Police patrols and paramedics were sent to the accident site.
The driver of the car suffered moderate injuries while the pedestrian is in a critical condition.
Police urged motorists to be cautious and attentive on the road to avoid tragic accidents.
