The 29-year-old father of the family, who was driving the car, sustained severe injuries.

Brig Mohammed Al Humaidi, director general of central operations, RAK police said that the operation room received a report about the accident at 6pm, and immediately dispatched police patrols and an ambulance to the site.

“Initial investigation showed that the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle due to high speed and exhaustion, the car overturned and smashed into one of the cement barriers and fell down into the valley,” said Brig Al Humaidi.

The family were transported to the nearest hospital and the case papers were transferred to the specialised authorities

Brig Al Humaidi urged all motorists to be cautious, avoid driving while tired and not to speed while driving.
