More than 4,000 faulty Mitsubishi cars in UAE to receive free repairs

Faulty Mitsubishi cars in the UAE will receive free repairs due to water corrosion in specific models, Al Habtoor Motors said on Wednesday.
The official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in the country said in statement, "We regret to inform that due to inappropriate waterproof structure of the front deck portion, water intrusion from front deck garnish and windshield may cause corrosion of the front wiper motor internal part."
In the worst case, owners are told the wiper motor may become inoperable. "Additionally, in the event that water drops down through the back side of the front deck garnish (the body piece between the hood and windshield), the front wiper link ball joint may experience excessive moisture and corrode," it said. "If this occurs, the resin case of the ball joint will wear prematurely due to the ball joint corrosion and the wiper link may ultimately separate causing the windshield wipers to stop operating."
Some 4,030 Outlander vehicles, CW0W, manufactured between 2008 and 2013 are affected across the country.
