Fujairah crash kills doctor

Dr Moza Al Kaabi, 31, the country’s first native orthopaedic surgeon and a Goodwill Ambassador, worked at Zayed military hospital for almost eight years.

An Emirati female surgeon died in a road accident in Fujairah on Thursday evening.

Dr Moza Al Kaabi, 31, the country’s first native orthopaedic surgeon and a Goodwill Ambassador, worked at Zayed military hospital for almost eight years.

She was heading home after work when her car collided with a lorry on Dubai Bypass Road.

She died at the scene.

The funeral was held on Friday at the Omar Bin Abdul Aziz mosque in Madab.

Born in Fujairah, she attended high school in Scotland and obtained a masters degree in China.

Al Kaabi was selected as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Organisation of the Southern Philippines Muslim and Non-Muslim Unity and Development Association.
