A multiple car accident led to tailbacks on the main route between Dubai and Abu Dhabi on Saturday afternoon.
Long queues built behind the crash, which is believed to have involved four cars near Al Rahba Police Station on the E11 Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road heading towards Abu Dhabi.
Traffic slowed to a crawl passing the scene, which was attended by police and ambulances.
The incident caused delays of up to 20 minutes between 11.30am and 12.30pm.
