The first images of Dubai Harbour’s new 1,100-berth marina have been revealed.

And a dedicated 180-berth superyacht facility, exclusive yacht club and helicopter pads are just some of the attractions.

The development is located beside Palm Jumeirah and will get its big reveal at Dubai's international boat show, which starts on Tuesday. But at least 780 berths are expected to be ready for handover in September 2020.

It is part of the wider Dubai Harbour development by Meraas, which includes a lighthouse, shops, restaurants, cafés, luxury residences and hotels.

Abdulla Al Habbai, chairman of Meraas, said the development will build on Dubai's historic seafaring traditions.

“The breakthrough infrastructure of the future that we are developing at Dubai Harbour will fortify the city’s status as a modern maritime hub," he said.

The marina features three bays – harbour marina on the western side, bay marina on its eastern side and the smaller palm view marina forming the northern tip. It is envisaged that “harbour marina” will represent the heart of the marina featuring restaurants, cafés and a stage. Bay marina, meanwhile, will be Dubai’s first dedicated superyacht facility, with 180 berths and a helipad with two landing platforms.

Fuel pumps, buggy service to berths, parking along central piers and marine storage facilities are also part of the plan.
