Emirates announces reduced baggage allowance for some travellers
Special and Saver economy travellers will have their baggage allowance reduced by 5kg

Changes to Emirates airline's checked baggage policy will come into effect next month, with some economy travellers having their allowance cut by 5 kilograms.
The Dubai airline recently separated their economy class into four ticket types: Special, Saver, Flex and Flex Plus.
From February 4, travellers with Special or Saver tickets will be allowed 15kg and 25kg of checked luggage respectively, 5kg less than under the previous policy.
Baggage allowance for Flex and Flex Plus ticket holders will remain unchanged at 30kg and 35kg, respectively.
Tickets issued before February 4 will honour the former baggage allowance policy.
Hand luggage allowance will remain the same at 7kg.
Business Class (40kg) and First Class (50kg) allocations remain unchanged.
