Pilots, including the crew of this Emirates Airline Airbus A380, battled with 100kph crosswinds at Manchester airport on Wednesday as inclement weather gripped northern England.
A series of photographs showed the A380 make corrections on approach before landing safely on the rain-sodden runway.
The wild weather has not eased at the airport with snow falling on Thursday, suspending all morning flights in-and-out of the airport.
"We are not accepting any flights in or out due to the weather," a spokeswoman told the Daily Mail.
The airport said they are ready for flights to take-off when the snow has been cleared, but warned passengers to expect a backlog.
