DUBAI // Bus routes in the emirate will get a shake-up on Saturday, the RTA has said.

A new route, which will be known as route 43, will run from the Gold Souq Metro station to Dubai Festival City via Al Marqabat Street and Terminal 1 at Dubai International Airport.

Three routes will be cancelled - Route 48, F2 and F16 - and have been replaced by Route 43, 64 and F20 respectively. The old F2 route will also be serviced by 64A and 4.

Route 31 will no longer extend to Al Ghubaiba Metro station, but Route 8 now will.

Several other routes have also been changed or expanded to create more useful stops for the public.

Route 4 will no longer run to Festival City, but Route 44 will extend to the mall and to Al Rashidiya Metro Station.

Route F46 will extend to reach Dubai Investments Park. Route 64A will pass through Dubai Festival City, Route 84 will stop in Tecom and Route F21 will pass through Al Nahda.

Route 22 will pass by Deira City Centre Metro station and will stop outside Dubai Courts.
