DUBAI // Police in Dubai issued fresh warnings to motorists after a driver was filmed driving on two wheels through a petrol station forecourt.
The video of a white Nissan Patrol went viral on social media. It showed the car driving on two wheels in a petrol station in Al Awir area. The driver was going around the petrol pumps narrowly missing crashing into them.
The driver was arrested by a patrol car unit and referred to the relevant section to file a criminal case against him for reckless driving endangering others..
Col Said Muhair Al Mazrouei from Dubai Police Traffic Department said that some motorists insisted on breaking the law and displayed reckless behaviour on the streets.
He said that despite awareness campaigns throughout the year against reckless driving, many young people still broke the traffic code and risked their lives and the lives of others. He emphasised that these dangerous stunts would not be taken lightly and that patrols would pursue those who broke the law..
