Tomorrow marks first day of Ramadan in UAE

Ramadan will begin on July 10, the moon sighting committee has announced as UAE leaders extend greetings on the advent of the holy month.

The moon sighting committee has announced that today will be the 30th day of the month of Sha'aban.

Accordingly, tomorrow, July 10 , will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces extended greetings to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and to the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

Sheikh Mohammed also greeted heads of states of Arab and Islamic countries.

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, the National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council congratulated Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, crown princes and deputy rulers of the occasion.
