Dubai Police arrested 39 illegal residents yesterday morning during a surprise raid in the city.
The pre-dawn operation, codenamed "Before Daybreak", was carried out by inspectors from the Search and Investigation Department at the Dubai Residency and Foreigners Affairs Directorate.
According to police, the illegal residents were discovered with the help of informants who had been investigating the area. It was not clear where the raid took place.
